VESTRY MEETINGS

VESTRY MEETINGS - If you are interested in the future of your parish, please insure that you attend the upcoming Vestry meeting:

                        February 5       -           Christ Church, Coboconk

                        February 12     -           St. James' Fenelon Falls

Both meetings follow immediately after the Sunday morning service.

Vestry Reports are available this morning for Christ Church, Coboconk.

Bishop Nicholls invites you to Come to the Banquet:  Taste and See!  Join us for our 2012 Area Day on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at St. Peter's, Cobourg for a day of food, fellowship and fun.  Our theme is Come to the Banquet:  Taste and See!  Bring a friend or a parish group and come and create a banner for the day or make an Anglican Rosary.  Workshops include food for the body, mind and spirit such as:  Holy Spirit as Wisdom, Diet and Conscience, Aromatherapy and Essential Oils of Scripture, Passover, Luke the Physician's Gospel, Lexio Divina and more.  Children aged 4-9 and teens aged 10-17 have their own wonderful concurrent program planned!  For information brochures and registration, please see the Rev. Susan Tate.

St. James' as part of the Association of Churches Winter Food Fest will be holding a pancake supper on February 14, the tickets will be adults $8 and children 8 and under $4.  Volunteers will be needed for this event, more information to follow.  Susan will be putting up the poster listing all the events in this festival.

CHRIST CHURCH

For Christmas, New Years' Day or any other occasion, you can provide flowers for the church in memoriam, or as thanks for a special person or gift in your life.  Mark your envelope "Designated to flowers, for (person's) name", and the date you wish the notice to be read or included in the bulletin.  If you need more information, talk to Marilyn or one of the Wardens.
