A BIG thank you to everyone who helped with the Christ Church Pancake Breakfasts over the summer.  Not only was it a lot of fun but many community connections were made.

A PLAN IN THE MAKING  Please share your ideas and wishes for 2011 events/social get-togethers /fundraisers/entertainments/educational sessions/celebrations or whatever you might wish for St. James' family, and for a vibrant well thought out year.   This is to be a plan for the whole calendar year Jan -- Dec 2011, meant to encourage maximum anticipation, participation and convenience, so that everyone can mark their calendars ahead.  This includes letting other organizations know our schedule.    Suggestion forms are available every Sunday.  Please take several, fill them out with your ideas and details and hand them to Carol Murchison, Carol Handley, Carol Wellum or Ida Beech before September 30, 2010.  The sooner the better.  Your committee will meet, sort the suggestions and make up a calendar of events for the year for everyone's convenience and pleasure!!   Anything can be changed or cancelled if circumstances change, but events planned ahead get a better response. Think ahead.  Think hard.  Make a personal commitment we know you have ideas and we want to hear about them.    Now!!

The next Parish Council meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at St. James' on Sept. 17.  This is for all Wardens and treasurers.
